Airline HR Interview Questions
An HR or competency interview checks your motivation, values, reliability and fit with the airline. It often comes after earlier screening. The examples below are practice questions only, not a list of what any airline will ask.
What the HR interview is for
HR interviewers usually explore why you want the role and the airline, how you handle feedback and pressure, your availability and flexibility, your teamwork and conflict style, and whether your CV matches what you say. They also check practical matters such as notice period, location and right to work.
Practice questions to prepare
Practice Question examples: Why do you want to work for this airline? What are your strengths and weaknesses? How do you handle conflict with a colleague? Describe a time you received difficult feedback. How do you handle shift work and irregular hours? Where do you see yourself in five years?
Questions to ask the interviewer
Prepare two or three thoughtful questions, for example about training, team structure or what a typical first year looks like. Avoid asking about salary and time off first. Keep questions respectful and relevant to the role.
Common mistakes to avoid
Avoid inconsistent answers versus your CV, criticising previous employers, saying you have no weaknesses, and knowing nothing about the airline. Be honest, specific and positive.
Recruitment stages differ between airlines and change over time. JobNeste does not guarantee interviews or job offers. Check the airline's official careers website.
